I loved helping my mom plant flowers when I was little. I loved all the different colors and smells of each flower, and how they were all different and unique in their own way. My mom would always tell me to be careful when putting the flowers into the pots. I had to make sure the roots stayed intact to each other. I didn’t understand what was so important about the roots. She then began to explain to me that the roots are the most important part of the flower. No one can see the roots, right? So why are they so important? “The roots keep the flower strong. It brings the flower the nutrients that it needs to stay alive”, she explained.

We discovered a great new free computer program to retrieve data that was deleted by mistake. It's almost like the "easy" button that one office supply store sells, only it is the "undo" button. This program allowed me to retrieve some precious photos that were deleted by mistake when my computer hard drive died. I thought these photos were gone forever, so you can imagine my joy when they returned to my computer screen, good as new. I'm grateful for that program, but it made me think of other things I wish I could undo.
The Chicken Little Problem
By Ed Crumley
One day Chicken Little was walking through the forest when an acorn fell on her head. “Oh my, oh my!” she exclaimed. “The sky is falling! I must run and tell the king!” You know the rest of the story. On the way to see the king, Chicken and her equally scared bird friends, Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, and Goosey Loosey ran into Foxy Loxy who slyly told them that only he knew the way to the king but would gladly show them. Of course, he only wanted to trick them into his den so they could become items on his menu.
An Honest Mistake
By Ronnie Wyatt
One day, a young man was being tailgated by a stressed-out woman on a busy boulevard. Suddenly, the light turned yellow, just in front of him. Even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection, he decided to do the right thing and stop at the crosswalk. The tailgating woman pounded the horn, screaming in frustration as she missed her chance to get through the intersection with him. Her arms wailing and finger pointing let the young man know just how disgusted she is with him. In the middle of her ranting, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer. To her surprise the officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up. He handcuffed her and took her to the police station where she was searched, fingerprinted, photographed, and placed in a cell.
