When my aging grandmother moved into my mother’s home, I witnessed a beautiful picture of God’s love. My grandmother had fallen and was undiscovered for nearly three days. After a stay at the hospital it was determined she could no longer live alone, so my mother and her new husband took her in. It was very difficult—not because my grandmother was terrible, she just wanted to "go home."

I laid the wide square of gift wrap in the middle of my bedroom floor, first mistake. I was probably already frazzled, but I don’t remember why. I may have left this task until the last minute. I may have been out of pretty paper and settling for the biggest scrap in my closet. The gift was bulky and unwieldy, and I may have been self-conscious about my lack of creating beautiful-package skills. Some other problem may have weighed heavy on my mind.

Funny Feet
I have funny feet. They are short and plump with stubby little toes that curl. In fact, when I married, my husband would tell people how cute he thought my feet were. Cute or not, they are my Dad's feet. He had the same kind of feet, but it was not a problem for him—being a man. I, on the other hand, have always had problems making my feet look lady-like. No matter what I do they look short and stubby.
