Funny Feet

I have funny feet. They are short and plump with stubby little toes that curl. In fact, when I married, my husband would tell people how cute he thought my feet were. Cute or not, they are my Dad's feet. He had the same kind of feet, but it was not a problem for him—being a man. I, on the other hand, have always had problems making my feet look lady-like. No matter what I do they look short and stubby.

I came upon a scriptural revelation the other day that has changed that. God actually says I have beautiful feet! He says you have them, too. When we share the good news of God's unfailing, unfathomable, and undeserving love with those around us, we have beautiful feet. Now this revelation has not elongated my toes or slimmed my pudgy feet down, but I can confidently paint those stubby toes and slip them into sandals, revealing my beautiful, albeit funny, feet to the world—a world in need of Good News feet.

PRAYER: Dear God, thank You for Your unfailing, unfathomable, and undeserving love.  Help me take the good news of that love to others today with beautiful feet.

“And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:15 KJV.
