Several years ago, a young woman we knew was suddenly abandoned by her husband and left with three preschool children. For seven months, her husband chose to have no contact with his family nor provide for them. Churches, family, friends and even strangers jumped in to meet her bills and provide for her. Every week for over a year, a young couple took her shopping for groceries, diapers and other essentials. They were only a brief acquaintance, but God moved their hearts to help her in this way. Growing Fur

Kids say the funniest things. The other day my four year old son Tucker proudly told me, “Mom, I’m starting to grow fur on my arms just like dad.” I laughed so hard I cried. He’s one funny boy. Isn’t it amazing how proud kids are when they see themselves becoming more like adults and less like babies? He’s excited about the little things: dressing himself, brushing his own hair and teeth, going potty “all by myself”. I’m proud too—and thankful. It’s made my life a little easier. Read more
