If you’re looking for a reason to get up and start praising the Lord, the band Revive is definitely your reason. Revive offers a nice, alternative rock feel, with some pop thrown in. Coming from Australia, the band is not new to producing Christian music, and recorded two albums, down under. While there, they focused their attention towards creating a more open environment for Christians, by visiting schools and churches, and sharing their gift. Now that they’re in the United States, they have found their big break, touring with Third Day and Brandon Heath.

Revive’s newest album, Chorus of the Saints, brings their gift to the U.S. for the first time. The album offers clear messages based on strong faith, yet do not hinder the music one bit. The lyrics are well thought out and create a variety of musical styles on the album. If you were to visit the band’s myspace, you’d be first greeted by the band’s top hit from the album, which is appropriately titled, Chorus of the Saints. The song is just astonishing in its pursuit of a message of how “Our God is faithful.” The album offers a variety of songs, some that have a rock feel, similar to that of Reliant K, as well as slower, lyric-based songs, like Brandon Heath’s music. No matter what type of Christian music you normally listen to, you will find that Revive offers you a message that you can connect with.

The band will round off it’s tour at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, where they will play the annual, Night of Joy. There, they will perform with the bands MercyMe and Jars of Clay, just to name a few. The future looks bright for the Australian band, and with God-willing they just may be the next, big Christian band.
