Artist Spotlight: Kristyn Leigh

Kristyn Leigh’s sophomore record ‘The Heavy and Holy’ is an amazing composition of youthful music and classic church hymnals, sure to be a delight to listeners of any age range. Kristyn’s love for singing the old church hymns and passion for rock n roll led her to combine the two with her sultry voice. Kristyn grew up singing hymns in her church and it was no doubt that she could sing Christian contemporary music.  But, when she started high school, a new possibility opened up for her. She loved to sing praise to the Lord, but she also had the heart to reach her peers in her generation. Being able to connect with people on relevant issues within her lyrics, Kristyn was able to combine the atmosphere of being in a church with being in a rock band.

Guitarist Kenny, Drummer Davey, Bassist Jason, and Rhythm Guitarist JR all provide music that will put you at ease, provoke thought, push you past your comfort zone, and remind you of God. The focal point of the band, I believe, is Vocalist and Pianist Jessica. Her piano is angelic, and her vocals powerful and heart-felt. She truly is amazing.
