I had the pleasure of seeing this group in concert a couple of years ago, and right away I knew I was in for a time of great music with a Christ-centered message. Least of These is a Southern Rock band hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, with Mark Smith on lead vocals, Daniel Byrd on guitar and vocals, Larry Byrge on bass and vocals, Robert Fritts on drums, and Jared Meredith on keyboard and vocals. The group formed in 2005. Their goal was to travel and play mainly outside of the church. They call themselves a “ministry-based” band and they want to spread the love of Jesus Christ to those who don’t know him.

If you needed one word to describe Ryan Wilkins, although it wouldn’t quite do him justice, that word would be inspiring. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Wilkins burst onto the music scene in 2004 with his debut self titled release.

So, I decided to write the spotlight on the merit of their music alone…I started the MySpace player and did the best thing to do while writing an article: surf the web.
