When most people think about electronica or trance music, they don’t normally associate them with the Christian genre. Some might even say that the two simply should not be mixed together. But, if you ask Michael Pendleton, he would definitely disagree. |

CD/Song Compilation – Rearrange Genre: Pop/Worship For my latest assignment, I was lucky enough to be given Katherine Woodman’s independent EP, Rearrange. While I am not a professional musician, I do know what makes a good sound, and I like what I heard on Katherine’s CD. |
Her voice is clear and distinctive, with a joyful quality to it that you just don’t hear from someone who isn’t a full-time worship leader or someone who has been doing this for many years.

CD/Song Compilation – Self-Titled
Genre: Rock/Pop/Worship
By Julie Cook Hess
Arlington, Texas singer and songwriter Mitch Waddell brings a fusion of folk and jazz to his special blend of music. Although he has been playing and producing music for 15 years, he only has been composing his own material for five years. He began banging out originals when he accepted a song leader position for a large Dallas church. He was amazed with the thrill of seeing a simple song idea bloom into something great with a whole congregation singing his creative work during worship.

CD/Song Compilation – Self-Titled I stumbled upon this band while searching around on the internet last month. After hearing the first 30 seconds of "Not gonna hold me down", I knew this was exactly the type of band I wanted to promote as in Artist Spotlight article. Although they are relatively new to the Atlanta music scene, I expect to see their fan base grow over the next year. They are starting to get some solid traction locally and their material is sure to capture your attention. The meaningful lyrics are neatly interwoven between solid rock-oriented instrumentals that I wasn't expecting to hear from a Christian band. The pleasant surprise was welcoming to this fellow musician. |

CD/Song Compilation – Cross Country California We decided to change the genre and review a Christian musician with a folk/acoustic vibe. Jonathan Walden, a 31 year old singer/songwriter has been playing guitar since he was 14 years old. He wrote his first song at age 17 and has been honing his skill ever since. He was recently featured on a pod cast called "The Morning Commute" hosted by Eric Vardeman. When Jonathan is not performing in the Nashville and Atlanta areas, he is creating new material. His style is unique and all his own. Jonathan intrigues listeners with lyrics that fuel you to dig deeper. |
