There’s often criticism that the majority of Christian movies deal with the same subject: the end of the world involving the rapture and the tribulation. Perhaps this is a valid gripe because there truly are a lot of them. However, I believe that the three most interesting events in world history are the birth of Christ, the death of Christ, and the end of the world.

I received my copy of The Genius Club with great anticipation. I'd been waiting for its arrival for several months. As soon as I got in from the mailbox, the DVD went into the machine (well – after a bit of wrestling with the adult-proof packaging). My blood was pumping double-time and my cerebellum (or should that be cerebrum) was ready for an intellectual treat.

Looking for something to tickle your funny bone, but without the four letter words and sexual innuendo which grates your spirit? Look no further. This DVD is chock full of funny material. I first was exposed to the comedic genius of this ensemble at a men's breakfast at church. I laughed my head off and had to get my own copy (since I only saw the first comedian). It was worth the effort and the cost.

Once again tackling the tough subjects, in Reforming the Potter’s Clay, Donald James Parker takes on Harry Potter and the occult. Are the books as innocent as they seem, or do they pose a darker threat: making magic seem normal and desirable?

The Duchess and the Dragon tells the epic story of two unlikely soul mates in the early 1800’s Regency Era who live worlds apart but soon meet and turn each other's world upside down.
Jamie Carie knows how to pull a reader into a story. The inheritance scandal and Drake’s fight for his life and near-tragic sea journey really grab you. That was all great stuff, if not too descriptive. Some details even turned my stomach. Then the romance begins, and my first thought was that it reminded me of a Harlequin historical romance.
