Single and Waiting
By Brenda Jackson
It’s Friday night and I’m home alone again, sighed Lexi I know the girls will call or I could call them,” as she began pacing across the room. But another Friday night date with the girls, Lord how long? I love you God and trust you but my faith seems to be growing weary. Haven’t I done what you asked me; to give you my whole heart and to need only you, she cried out? I’ve traveled, kept myself busy, dealt with past demons — all in order to become a whole woman of God. I promised I’d be patient.
She remembered that complaining does not reflect faith but it’s a symptom of unbelief and unbelief will hinder the manifestation of her prayers. Lexi remembered James 1:4, let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Lexi closed her eyes and asked God to speak to her heart and waited. He answered and said, do you remember the teaching on HIDE, and how the Word changed you? In her mind she began to go over the teaching that Pastor Teresa Goggins taught during a singles session three years ago. Lexi said Yes Lord, I remember it. God said, I allowed you to attend the session because I knew it would heal and deliver you. My plan is that you use it to help other single women. She then started to go over HIDE (Healing, Identifying, Deliverance & Eager for God’s Presence) out loud to remind herself of the lesson.
Healing of past relationships! I have healed you of the pain and disappointments from your past. There’s healing in the words of the wise and kind words help to heal and separate us from the effects of past relationships. Forgiving yourself and others so that you can move into your future!
Identify who you really are as you made whole. Then you can join together with another whole person. Know that I AM your first love and that your hope and purpose is in me. You must first identify who you are, and whose you are – you are mine says the Lord.
Delivered and set free from the bondages in your life. Begin studying the Word of God and it will set you free!
Eager for my presence, in God’s presence is fullness of joy; at His right hand are pleasures forevermore. Staying in my will, results in you carrying my presence upon you. Completion comes from God only and it’s not found in a mate or another human being. It’s found only in the presence of our Savior.
Lexi began to cry and ask forgiveness when she realized she doubted God and that her focus had moved from God to her needs and emotions. Forgive me Lord for not trusting you and not being patient and confident that you will bring your Word to pass in my life.
In the book of Esther, Boaz watched and observed Ruth as she worked the fields as unto the Lord. By Ruth receiving Boaz as her husband; it meant the end of poverty, want, anxiety, fear, hunger, and suffering.
God asks us to receive Jesus Christ as our Lord. He is our provider. He has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ Jesus! Just like Ruth, when our time arrives, our Boaz will find a complete and whole woman of God.
He who finds you will find a good wife and find favor with the Lord. So remember to enjoy your life, serve as unto the Lord, be a blessing, for other single women. Show them that you can enjoy singleness and live a happy fulfilling life while you wait for your appointed time of marriage. Be patient for your season to come and remember to endure with patience and perseverance.
Your Boaz may already be observing you. Have you applied the HIDE principle to your life? If not let’s begin today as part of our preparation for him.
