TCP Challenge

We are fortunate to count you as one of our many friends from around the world that believe in this ministry.  First, we want to thank you in advance for your positive support and prayers.  We recognize that the Thanksgiving holiday is not celebrated by everyone but, I’m sure you would agree that we all have much to be thankful for.  As your family gathers together for food and fellowship, I want to encourage you to think about the little things that impact your life every day.  To make things more interesting, we came up with the TCP Challenge (below).

We often take our blessings for granted in a rush to keep up with the Jones’.  It seems like our fast-paced world hardly allows us a moment of quiet time anymore.  So, this Thanksgiving, we want to challenge you to take time to Pause and consider just how blessed you really are.  No matter what your situation may be, you are truly blessed!  It does not matter, how big your house is, what kind of car you drive, or how many accomplishments you achieve.

What does matter is your relationship with the people around you.  God created us to be relational.  And, as the body of Christ, our Christian community has a unique opportunity to be the hands and feet of our Lord each day.  We are presented with numerous chances to be a light in our work places, homes, churches, schools, and local communities.  The amazing part of it all is that making a positive difference doesn’t take much time or energy in many cases.  You will probably agree that a simple Smile or the words “Thank You” have tremendous influence.  You may have even experienced the power of these examples first-hand at some point.

What is The TCP Challenge?

If we separate the word Thanksgiving into two parts, Thanks and Giving, the holiday takes on a new, deeper meaning.  This year, the challenge is for you to make time during the holiday season to tell the people around you that you appreciate them and how much they mean to you.  This could mean picking up the phone and giving a call to a distant friend you haven’t spoken to in awhile.  Or, possibly for you, the person is much closer to home; a spouse, a child, or a parent.  It may even be saying Thank You to a person serving in your community that works hard to make a difference just because it’s the right thing to do.

Being a blessing to our families, friends, and complete strangers does make a difference.  And, when you start looking around for ways you can be Christ-like, you won’t have to look very far!  Our world is in trouble but, we can start making a difference today!

We would love to hear how you took the TCP Challenge and became a light in your dark corner of the world.  Simply find this article posted under our Faith section at www.thechristianpulse.com and click on the “comment” link at the bottom of it to post your story in our forum.

Spread the Word, Be a Light, and God Bless Creativity!
