Annie is the kind of girl any parent would love to have for a daughter. She has a good reputation, makes good grades, and has been accepted at a good college. Annie is on top of the world until it begins to spin out of control. When she is seriously harmed in an act of violence, Annie finds herself caught between two brothers at war and her friends are forced to deal with adult issues they aren’t quite ready for. Sutton deals very directly with difficult true-to-life situations and issues that teens don't always share with their parents, but are facing far too often in their daily lives. She doesn't give pat answers, but through Annie's journey of faith and coming of age, Sutton’s novel is sure to inspire teen readers (and their moms!). Filled with romance, drama, and insight into the lives of teenagers, Sutton is a refreshing voice.
