Review by Michelle Sutton
Unlike most kids, teenage Katie Parker never got a fair shot at a normal life. With a mother in jail and a missing-in-action dad, she's never known what it's like to truly be loved. Low on options and family members, she's soon shipped off to a foster home. Now in an unfamiliar town, Katie's rebellious attitude is at odds with her new family, school, and classmates. And after falling in with all the wrong people at school, things go from bad to really bad after she takes the blame for vandalizing the local performing arts theater. But in the midst of a dark situation, Katie finds light in the most unexpected places: through her new friendship with an eccentric senior, the commitment of her foster family, and a tragic secret that changed them forever. And as she inches closer to acceptance and forgiveness, she finds that God has been there all along.

Book written by Donald James Parker
Review from Christian Review of Books (CRoB)
All the Voices of the Wind is a delightfully believable and realistic love story from beginning to end. It follows the life of high school student Jeremy Dillon as he begins a promising senior year. Jeremy’s life is predictably derailed when fate places the beautiful Maria Masterson near him on his first day in school.

Carole is a great inspiration to me. She is living proof that dreams do come true–if we don't abandon them and if we are called according to God's purpose. Here's her bio from the September Dawn movie website: Carole Whang Schutter was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of Hawaii. A widow, Carole has been a motivational speaker to live audiences as well as appearing on TV and radio shows. She now occupies her time writing novels, screenplays and inspirational books. “September Dawn,” which was written in collaboration with director/producer Christopher Cain, is her first screenplay. She has had an enduring interest in religion and has researched most of the major world religions. A skier and a hiker, she has found Aspen to be the perfect place for her interests and a wonderful place to write. Carole has just completed the novel based on the movie “September Dawn.” Currently, she is working on several screenplays and an historical novel about her home state Hawaii.
Book Review: The Shack By William (Paul) Young

There is a phenomenon sweeping the planet in the form of a little book with the picture of a dilapidated building on the cover. The Shack is number one in three categories (including Christian fiction) on the Amazon sales charts, number two at Barnes and Noble, and number fourteen on the USA Today list of books. Not too shabby. The book, which today is number eleven overall on the Yahoo sales chart, wasn't even written for publication but rather was created by a dad for his kids to read. How it ended up as the talk of a big chunk of the populace without Oprah's recommendation is a fairly significant mystery. Over 300,000 copies have been sold already and nobody I know has even heard of the book.

Artist Spotlight: Epic Rescue

What is an “Epic Rescue? In a “brainstorming frenzy” this former-rock worship group consisting of Brandon Self on vocals, lead guitarist Tyler Azevedo, bassist Justin Swinney, and Natalie Noblitt on vocals formed the nucleus of the unnamed band. By adding Josh Hoggord on drums, keyboardist Matt Gregg and rhythm guitarist Leland Wetzel, they thought, “Had there been a rescue as epic as the rescue on the cross?” The simple question spawned an idea, a discussion and eventually a name. For it was with that concept that the Texas-bred septet realized their title: Epic Rescue.
