Red Umbrella, Parry Sound, Ontario’s home-grown sons, has an inviting sound that has incorporated many influences. Uniquely gifted with their own musical interpretations, they divinely gel into something special in one “umbrella.” Canada has rare gems whose value will only increase as they share the love of Christ.
Rock bands from the 50’s to the present have always connected to their audiences. A symbiosis that is satisfying to both. Charisma, as well as talent and stage presence is also inherent in “Red Umbrella.” A banner song from their latest release “Already Won” is filled with encouragement and faith. Music has a purposefully way of speaking to the soul of a person and it has the potential to initiate change.
The band’s websites have podcasts, videos and their upcoming concerts and bio’s. Check them out for yourself and be emotionally uplifted. I especially liked the song “Straightjacket.” It’s a rush of adrenaline for the soul, driven by the fast pace of drummer, Jason Rosewell. Often in life, with all the pressures and problems, we feel like we’re in a straightjacket. The flip side of that coin is that Christ gives us the victory even when we don’t perceive it. Faith in God’s word will give us strength until we get…”Home.”
