Artist Spotlight: Matt Blair

Matt Blair has a unique gift of highlighting the issues of the soul. Sometimes we’re blessed to hear assurance in a song that our efforts to live up to God’s standards can be realized. “Grace Greater” on his latest release “Letting Go” sums up our ongoing struggle. There is hope if we can trust and believe in God’s grace.

In today’s world that is filled with choices everyday, we have a tendency to make the wrong choices because of misinformation or rejecting information. But I’m glad to testify that accepting Jesus was the “best” choice that I’d ever made. When I heard “I Choose You” the first time, it touched a chord in my soul because He chose to die for me. What a wonderful response to God’s love, “I choose you, you chose me.”

We’re fortunate to find a man who is passionate and determined to fulfill his destiny in Christ. Undoubtedly, his music has an effect that is beyond what is apparent.  Enveloped in his lyrics is hope for tomorrow and an assurance that Christ is all that we need. “You Are” is another song on his latest project that highlights Matt’s love for Christ. Anyone who appreciates what Christ has done for them can attest that He is “the reason that I live.”

Matt and his family, wife Erin and daughters Kaylee and Abi, now reside in Nashville, Tennessee. He performs regionally and nationally, as he continues to pursue God’s calling for a life of faith. Recently, Matt was featured on the Gospel Music Channel’s independent spotlight called “Download Mondays” on February 11, 2008.

You owe it to yourself to release all the things that has held you down and with resolute faith press on while “Letting Go” of the past. Your future is now as you press forward, “Breaking Through.”
