Artist Spotlight: Briana Scott

While the gospel industry has its fair share of what many would consider “superstars,” there are those few artists who have such anointed and compelling voices that they belong in a class by themselves.  One of these amazing minstrels of the Gospel is Briana Scott.

Briana may be an independent artist, but she has captured people with her major presentation.  With her various national television appearances and her debut album entitled While I’m Here, Briana demonstrates that her gift is submitted to God and because of that, He has exalted her. While the CD has several really powerful songs, two songs – “Brand New Day” and “I’m Still Here” – send a strong message of faith and determination.  “Brand New Day” gets the album moving in the praise direction.   The up-tempo cut, laced with rich background vocals, boasts the joy that comes from realizing that God’s mercies are new every morning and that He is always worthy of praise.  The testimonial “I’m Still Here” takes the listener to the throne room.  Backed with a simple acoustic guitar, Briana makes it known that she will worship the Father no matter what.
 
Briana Scott makes a strong statement that while she’s here and has the opportunity, she’s intent on connecting the listener with the God of grace.  Her debut album, While I’m Here, is a must-have.
