Baltimore, Maryland’s own Shawn Everette makes his recording debut with the impressive offering simply entitled Answers.  Released on his own imprint, Soul Levite Music, the album brings to the forefront a musical genre within urban gospel known as “Rhythm & Praise, otherwise known as R&P.  Shawn Everette uses this genre not only to promote but to enlighten the listener on the truth that God does provide answers for those that truly seek Him.

Answers is chock full of great songs and thought provoking commentary from Everette.  The album opens up with a strong praise song amply titled All Praise.  The thumping, get-you-up-out-of-your-seat track encourages believers to praise Him in spite of life’s struggles and let downs.  From All Praise, the album moves into a cadre of songs that address serious contemporary issues that face believers and unbelievers alike such as the issues of love (“Love and Lust”) and divorce (“Don’t Talk of Divorce”).  Paradox confronts the current new age thought of relative truth – the belief that all truth is relative to specific individuals and their lives.  This edgy track is Apologetic in nature, comparing “world truth” with His Truth.  In addition to these tracks, the album boasts three more tracks that appear to be the highlight of the album: Here I Am, Answers Reprise, and Share Eternity With Me.  “Here I Am” is a laid back worship track with Everette coming to the end of himself and knowing He is the only one who can make it right.  “Answers Reprise” reaffirms that God is the only answer to all our woes while “Share Eternity With Me” speaks from the heart of God.  It beckons those that do not know Him to come to Jesus and be saved.

In a time when the world has so many questions, God birthed Answers through Shawn Everette.  To learn more about Shawn Everette, check him out at www.shawneverette.com.
