When most people think about electronica or trance music, they don’t normally associate them with the Christian genre. Some might even say that the two simply should not be mixed together. But, if you ask Michael Pendleton, he would definitely disagree. |
With only a few years of creating music under his belt, Michael Pendleton is on his way to becoming a master in the art of sampling.
His music project, 5in1 combines techno, electronica, and rock to deliver high-energy combinations. Some of his songs like "Dead Alive", "Palm 23", and "AutoJam" are popular among his growing fan base. Early in Michael’s music career, he started playing around with samples and creating partial songs until one day he challenged himself to create a mix for a co-worker. The end result was the creation of "Kinda Scary Hu? and he has never looked back since completing this first song. 5in1 is combines a diverse group of musical influences ranging from Chatterbox to Handel’s Messiah. The project continues to perfect the sounds and beats that make his music unique.
Michael has been mixing Christian samples into his personal music project since forming 5in1. His positive perspective continues to be loud and clear as he offers these words of advice to other musicians, "Don't quit and don't listen to people who are negative". The completion of the first official CD release by 5in1 is yet another example that when someone combines passion and the love of Christ, anything is possible.
