CD/Song Compilation – Waiting I’ll start off this review with four simple words; “What a great voice!” I first listened to this talented artist because of a close friend’s recommendation. The power of word-of-mouth advertising should never be underestimated! After hearing a few songs, I decided to come see her perform live at a local hang-out in the area. Let me say that her live performance was as clean and enjoyable to listen to as her debut CD, “Waiting.” I had an opportunity to meet Caroline between sets and I was impressed by her humble yet, upbeat personality. |

I spoke with her about the song entitled "Waiting" and learned that it is the story about the Prodigal Son from the Bible. In short, it is a story about undeserved grace on the Father's part. As you listen to the lyrics, you can’t help but think about your own personal relationship with God. Caroline said, “The truth is that He is ‘waiting’ for us to come back to Him. He never gives up on us and He is our Eternal Father.”
Caroline is from Marietta, Georgia and has been singing for as long as she can remember. She taught herself to play guitar at age 14. Since then, she has pursued her musical passion through leading worship, songwriting, and playing live shows. She grew up listening to Mariah Carey and her main influences are Michelle Branch and Bethany Dillon.
Caroline’s sound combines gentle, femininity with meaningful messages. Her songs are the kind you can find yourself listening to often. Actually, as I wrote this review, I listened to the CD three times in a row…if that says anything. I can honestly say that I am eager to hear a full-length version when it comes out.
