Todd Fields is an Atlanta-based worship leader hailing from North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia. He travels to various camps throughout the country bringing the art of worship to thousands of people each year. Fields released a self-titled album this year. The style of his music is acoustic rock and this album has a balanced mix of ballads and songs with more upbeat tempos. It is filled with timeless worship songs that connect individuals on a deeper level.
His voice is unique and his lyrics are powerful. Each sentence carefully crafted to create such poetic lyrics and meanings. The songs are orchestrated in a way that appeals to a room full of people praising the one true God. The passion behind the words and the arrangements put together are flawless.
“Breathe On Me” and “Let Me Sing” are a couple of the stand out songs found on the album. “Breathe On Me” is a prayer cried out for God to continuously remind us who is He is and the hand He has in our life. “Let Me Sing” is a more upbeat song that is full of words of gratitude for who God is and everything He has done. It is a great worship song and declaration of how we should give thanks to our King everyday. Fields also does his own rendition of “It Is Well” and “From the Inside Out,” which are classics and just as beautifully done as the originals.
