New York, NY – June 3, 2009 — This Sunday, June 7th is the final day of voting at Hardrock.com for the winner of Hard Rock's Ambassadors Of Rock Battle Of The Bands.  One of these artists in the top five is worship singer Rudy Vaughn.  The adventure started for Vaughn when over 150 bands entered Hard Rock's Ambassadors Of Rock Battle Of The Bands at Hard Rock Cafes all over North America. First, a winner was crowned from each qualifying battle. The qualifying bands slugged it out and a winner was declared for each participating city with Vaughn winning Atlanta. Then, those winners were put before a panel of discerning experts that included Head Judge Little Steven of the legendary E Street Band and freshly minted Rock & Roll Hall of Famer DMC. The judges narrowed down the field to these final five bands to be voted on by the public on-line.  The final winner will perform at the Hard Rock Calling show in London on June 28 with Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews Band and Neil Young.

Vaughn states, “We are so blessed to have been given an opportunity that most musicians never see.  Winning the contest would open some major doors for us to be salt and light to the world.  The support we are getting from the Christian community is incredibly humbling!”

The contest is proving to be a very close one as Rudy Vaughn and Beatnik Jr. appear to be the front runners battling it out for the Top slot. Voting is quick and easy. To vote for Rudy Vaughn and to see live video footage visit:

Rudy grew up listening to R&B music and Dave Matthews Band. His teen and college years found him performing with a variety of bands. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a music performance degree. Rudy then headed to Atlanta, where he started a recording studio and teaching school called Melody Lane Studios.  While in Atlanta, Vaughn became a member of 12 Stone Church where he sings on the 12 Stone Worship team.  He also has served on worship teams for John Maxwell events and for Andy Stanley at North Point Community Church and Buckhead Church in the Atlanta area.

Rudy is planning on an album to be released soon and is currently working on it with producer Dan Hannon (Aaron Shust, Manchester Orchestra).
