(Nashville, Tennessee) –April 8, 2009 –Break-through fiction author Bobby K. Green comes this spring with his first novel, Company of Deceit, a book that provides riveting suspense set amidst circumstances that might have been ripped from the archieved pages of the headline stories on CNN.

An international political firestorm of secret contraband cargoes, murder and high-level government secrecy form the backdrop as two pilots battle to unravel the mysterious chains that have bound them to a dangerous covert mission.   It proves to be a chain of command that may run suspiciously close to the highest ranks of the U.S. military and even to the very portals of power within the White House itself.

Green is himself a veteran pilot who served in the United States military. Now a successful business man in Mississippi, his first novel in national release has succeeded in creating an aviation based adventure tinged with the calculated political schemes of  international covert operations, secret air missions with high-risk payloads, and pilots who risk it all each time the wheels touch down.

Asked in a recent interview if Company of Deceit  is based on the ‘insider’ reality of the ‘80’s contra scandal, the author is quick to note only that, “The book is a fictional adaption of historical events.” It’s perhaps that dark shrouding of international mystery based in real time headlines that heightens the intrigue and adventure.  The results make Green’s writing ultimately succeed in producing a compelling page turner for readers.

Kirk Fordice, former Governor of Mississippi hailed the novel as “the best book I’ve read in a long time” –providing a strong endorsement for the work of Green as a native son.

Soon to reach bookshelves from a major publishing house, limited edition ‘first run’ author copies of the novel are increasingly becoming collector's editions, selling for  as much as $50.00 per volume on a recent e-Bay transaction.

Green has the follow-up novel to Company of Deceit already nearing completion.

Final Call holds the promise to reprising the lead characters from his first book in yet another intricate plot of international intrigue.  This time,  stakes are high as opposing factions within politcal and crime circles clash in a war to dominate the control of lucrative commercial aviation routes. Green weaves a web of unbridled graft, the dark world of organized mob rule, and deep South backroom political schemes, that promises to keep readers engrossed.
