PR: The Glovers Record Vocals for New Album
HOPKINSVILLE, Kentucky –The Glovers have recently been recording vocals for their upcoming national release. The new album, tentatively titled One Good Reason, is being recorded at UpFront Studios in Nashville, Tennessee and features the engineering talents of Terry Thompson. One Good Reason will feature new songs by some of Southern Gospel’s most popular songwriters such as Chris Binion, Zane King, Del Way (who penned the Glovers’ breakout hit “Hurtin’ People”), and Eric Horner. |
Also, Kathy Glover co-wrote two songs for the project – “Hidden Secrets” (co-written with Chris Binion) and “Saving My Life” (co-written with Zane King). Both of the songs deal with Kathy’s personal testimony and ministry surrounding abortion. Adam Glover of the duo said, “We are so excited to finally record our vocals for this new recording. We really feel like this recording best reflects who we are as artists and ministers. We know that God has big things in store for the songs on this recording.” “God has been showing us so much about who we are and where are main ministry focus is over the last couple of years,” mentioned Kathy Glover. “These songs are just a continuation of that revelation. We can’t wait to start singing them!” The new recording features some of Nashville’s most sought after session musicians including Jason Webb, Aubrey Haney, Brian Sutton, Jeremy Metkiff, Paul Franklin, and Dan Needham. The new recording will also feature guest vocalists Three Bridges on the cut “I’m Proud to Be Here.” One Good Reason has a tentative release date of late spring/early summer. More information on the new recording will be released at a later date. The first single release from One Good Reason is “Mercy Came Down”, which was written by Del Way. “This song reminds us that no matter what we are going through today, no matter how far away from God we have swayed, HIS mercy is there waiting for us to simply ask Him to come down to meet us where we are,” said Kathy Glover. The Glovers scored their first ever Top 40 single last year as “Glory Bound” reached #38 on the January 2007 Singing News Top 80 chart. The song also peaked at #18 on the SouthernGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart – Southern Gospel’s leading weekly chart. “Glory Bound” was written by Eric Horner and can be found on the Glovers’ critically acclaimed release, Out of the Darkness. The group’s current single, “Behind the Rock” is currently charting on the SouthernGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart at #26. The song peaked at #67 on the April 2007 Singing News Top 80.
