I stuffed my swimsuit in a corner of my suitcase, which already bulged with sportswear, evening gowns, shoes, and toiletries. Then, I search through every drawer and compartment under our bathroom sink, "Honey, do you remember where we put our suntan lotion?"  My husband zipped his suitcase closed, and called out, "Suntan lotion…you’re a little optimistic, aren’t you?"  He’s right. I thought. Sun protection would be a logical item to pack for a cruise in the Caribbean. But not under this particular situation.

Computers have thousands of uses today, but I've never heard of one used in quite the way our first computer was used many years ago!

My husband and I have two children who are truly gifts from God.  We enjoyed every aspect of having children as they were growing up except …HOMEWORK!  By the time the assignments are finally completed, most parents are ready to scream, "Calgon, take me away!”  We were there!

Calming the Storm

"The jury reached the verdict," the bailiff said as he swung open the large courtroom doors. There was an instant hush in the crowd in the hallway. The jury spent three hours to make their decision—three hours that, to me, seemed like days. I gripped my husband's hand as we shuffled into the courtroom ahead of our two sons and the rest of our family and friends. Sitting stiffly on the hard benches, no one spoke.
