The Patient Can Be Saved

Unless you have been living in a cave on some deserted island, you are aware that our country is in trouble. Our economy is at best flat. You know, when a patient in the hospital drama shows on TV goes flat line, everybody jumps into gear to rescue him. If you could watch a monitor on our country we are getting dangerously close to flat line.People are trying to take “In God we trust off” of the money, we can’t say public prayers at sporting events, it is not politically correct to say Merry Christmas, now we are supposed to say happy holiday.
It is not a sin or a crime to kill a baby in the mother’s womb; it is “a choice.”
If two young men or women are living in an unholy relationship, it is not fornication; it is an “alternative life style.”
If a baseball player or a football player makes ten million dollars a year and millions of their fellow Americans are living in poverty, we call it “Capitalism.”
A Muslim climbs upon a table and guns down forty plus of his fellow soldiers; it is not politically correct to call him a terrorist. A young Muslim tries to murder hundreds of people on an airliner bound for Detroit on Christmas day, and we can’t refer to him as a terrorist. He is only a suspect.
We have a congress that passes laws, and then exempts themselves from those laws. They pass a “health care bill” and promptly exclude themselves. We have major corporations who have thousands of employees at minimum wage while the C.E.O gets paid one hundred million dollars a year.
You have pornography on television and every newsstand in America, and it is called “freedom of speech.”
You have young men and women fighting and dying for the American flag, and we have a Commander and Chief that still will not salute that same flag?
Yes, if our country were a patient, the vital sign monitor would be getting dangerously close to a flat line. The good news is “the patient” can be saved, God said:
“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
There is good news… the “patient” can be saved.
