Music to me is a window to the soul of an artist that illuminates what she is conveying. Such is the case with Jaime Jamgochian's album Above the Noise, an eclectic mix of praise and worship that reflects the artist’s desire to be vessel of honor for the Master.

Jaime Jamgochian, who came to the Lord while in college at the tender age of 21, embodies her appreciation for the Lord through each and every one of her songs. You can feel her heart, as I did in “For You.” It’s an anthem of praise to the One who has redeemed and purposed us for His glory. We are inspired to live for Christ and Him alone.

The song “Sing of Our God” is rock and an acoustic guitar-laden expression of joy and adoration. It will make you stand and move with the music of praise that is due Him. Another song “God Unchanging” is also in the same vein and will move the listener to new levels of joyful expressions.

With songs like “You” the listener is transported to a quiet place of tranquility and peace. Jaime plays the piano and it’s like being “unplugged.” We can join with words of worship and the accompanying piano, as we lift our hearts to Him. As Christians, it’s refreshing to have an artist that truly wants to worship Him. This is not brought from a desire just for the money or fame, but from the honest and sincere desire called Gratitude.

In an interview with Suite101.com on October 6, 2006, Jaime was asked a question. Although, other questions were asked, this one stood out to me: “Do you consider yourself more of a singer than a songwriter?” She stated: “Actually I consider myself more of a worshipper or lead worshipper or worship leader than a singer/songwriter. I’ve never thought of myself as a singer but I love to worship God and lead others in worship.”

Jaime’s love for Christ speaks volumes throughout her latest project. “Hear My Worship” is a song of heartfelt illumination of what Christ has done and continues to do, in her life. Through all that she has gone through her heart continually cries out and our heart also who love the Lord should cry, “Hear My Worship” above the noise in my life. Over the business of life and the stressful times that often overwhelm us.
