Looking to the left, I saw three people walking side by side, and crowds of people trailing behind. Looking to my right, I saw a mom pushing a stroller, with another child on a leashed harness. Behind her there were three more people, and then a gap before the next convoy of travelers.
I found myself smack-dab in the middle of a human frogger game. Passers-by saw me as a common traveler, laptop bag on my shoulder, walking assisted with a cane. Each time I’d see a hole in the traffic on one side, there would not be a clear way on the other. It almost paralyzed me until I realized I could cross to the other side if I positioned myself like the frog game, hopping on the various “logs” of space.
With the memorable frogger tune playing on my mind’s iPod, I hopped here, and there, and on to the next spot until I managed to cross the busy flow of traffic without a scratch on me. Then I heard the game tally my final score. WINNER!
Often, life is cluttered with the traffic of situations making our path uncertain. We wonder how we might manage to make it to the other side unscathed. God leads us on the right paths, and shines light to reveal the way through the dark. He promises not to let us down as we rely on Him, our veritable Frogger Guide.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for making my path clear today when all I see is the confusing traffic of life.
“I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them,” Isaiah 42:16 KJV.
